How to care for and clean your macrame properly

In this blog, I'll explain how to properly clean and care for your macramé. All materials we use for our macramé are made from 100% recycled cotton. Cotton is a very durable and reliable material that's easy to clean.

So if you want to enjoy your macrame for a long time, please follow my tips for care and cleaning.

cleaning
If there is little or no visible dirt, simply clean the affected area with mild soap and water. Then air the macrame well.

For a more thorough hand wash, wash gently in cold water (max. 30°C). Be careful not to rub the macrame too hard, as this could cause the threads or knots to come loose.

Care
If the knots loosen over time, you can easily retighten them. Hold the knot between your fingers and pull on the thread with your other hand.

Like any other natural fiber, cotton can become a food source for pests. To prevent this, remove dust with a damp cloth or shake the macrame well at least once a month.

After shipping
Especially after shipping, some areas may not arrive perfectly. You can simply comb these out with a comb and, if necessary, secure them with setting spray or hairspray.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me via Instagram or email. I look forward to hearing from you and will help you as quickly as possible!
