Homemade candles become truly special when they glow in bright colors. Using these color pigments, you can easily color your own candles. The color pigments, which come in small pieces, are easy to measure and are simply dissolved in liquid wax and mixed thoroughly with the candle wax. The color range extends from soft, pastel shades to bright, intense colors.

When dosing the color, it is always advisable to start with a small amount of color and gradually add more pigment until the desired shade is achieved. For medium color intensity, 5g of color pigment is sufficient to color approximately 500g of wax. With a little practice, different color pigments can be combined to create completely new colors or to pour layered candles, for which wax in different colors is poured on top of each other. The individual layers are first allowed to dry before the next layer in a different color is poured over them. When coloring beeswax, it is important to note that the base yellow tone of the wax influences the color result. The more color pigment used, the more the base yellow tone is covered.
